Office of Public Information
The Office of Public Information facilitates communication with citizens, businesses, elected officials and the Mayor’s Office regarding city services, projects and events. The office is responsible for communicating the activities of various city departments, commissions and officials to the public. In case of an emergency the PIO helps disseminate and coordinate vital information to ensure public safety. The Office of Public Information also works to communicate directly with members of the media in preparing news stories and responding to inquiries and interview requests.
