Work on Three Rivers begins
GULFPORT — The City of Gulfport has begun site preparations this week to widen Three Rivers Road to three lanes, each way, from Prudie Circle to Windsong subdivision.
The work is expected to take about three months to complete and during that time Three Rivers will be closed to through traffic from Klein Road to O’Neal Road.
Detour routes will be posted accordingly. In some cases, mailboxes will have to be relocated and a construction manager will contact those residents ahead of time.
In addition, the county will eventually widen the road from Windsong to O’Neal Road and an agreement with the private sector will take the widening the rest of the way to Highway 49.
