Operation Bike Rescue

As the result of the increase in amount of unclaimed bikes in our City, a program to register these bikes has been implemented on a city-wide basis. This voluntary program focuses on registration, identification and recovery of bicycles. Implementation of this program city-wide will ensure the uniformity of bike registration and recovery.

Citizens wishing to participate can mail in the bike information on a “Bike Rescue Card”. You can also click on our online link to complete a registration form containing your name, address, ect., and information about your bike(s). This form will be numbered to correspond with a pre-printed sticker issued to the owner to be affixed to the bike.

Gulfport Police School Resource Officers and Community Relations employees will be responsible to aggressively promote this program, schedule registrations and maintain a file of all registered bicycles. A file of all registered bikes will be maintained in the Community Relations Division office, accessible to all personnel to aid in the recovery of these bicycles.
For more information, contact Community Relations at (228) 868-5703.
